Business Development Manager - Flanders (F/M)
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager who wants to use their talent to contribute to the energy transition? Would you like to help create a market for innovative and sustainable products in Flanders?
Your role
- You will help build Octave's commercial strategy and convince potential partners (such as electrical installers, integrators, energy suppliers) of the added value of our advanced energy management solutions and innovative battery systems.
- In this role, you will implement and refine Octave's go-to-market strategy. You will continuously identify new partnerships and sales channels and advise and support existing partners.
- You will be Octave's eyes and ears in the market by participating in networking events and trade shows. This will keep you up to date on the latest innovations and allow you to provide input to the product team on relevant product specifications and market requirements.
- Thanks to your excellent communication skills, you will build strong relationships with Octave's potential partners.
What you bring to our team
- Significant work experience in sales/project development in the energy sector (B2B), preferably in energy storage systems or renewable energy sources.
- Good understanding of energy markets.
- Sufficient technical background to master basic concepts of electrical engineering related to renewable energy.
- A clear sales hunter mentality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to give convincing presentations.
- Experience in developing and implementing a commercial strategy in the renewable energy sector. Proficiency in market segmentation and identifying customer needs.
- The desire to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
If you have some (or all) of the following, you've got a clear advantage
- Master's degree in economics or engineering, or similar experience.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus, but not required.
- Hands-on experience with go-to-market strategies and a proven track record in hitting sales targets.
